What I Collect

When you subscribe to The Portugal Civics Issue, I collect the information Substack provides to publishers: your email address, and — if you’re a paid subscriber — payment information processed by Stripe (I do not see or store your card details directly).

How I Use It

I use your email address to send you newsletter issues and, occasionally, direct replies if you write in with a question or correction. I do not sell, rent, or share your subscriber information with third parties outside of Substack’s own platform functions (billing, delivery, translation).

International Subscribers

Many readers of this publication are based outside the United States, including in the EU and UK. If you are located in the EU or UK, you have rights under GDPR regarding your personal data, including the right to request a copy of what’s held about you or to be removed entirely. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, which removes you from future sends.

Comments and Notes

If you comment on a post or interact via Substack Notes, that activity is visible according to Substack’s own platform settings, separate from this publication’s policy.
